Doctrinal Statement

SCRIPTURE

Every word of Scripture is the inspired, preserved, perfect and inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:19–21; Psalm 12:6–7; Psalm 19:7–9; Psalm 119:89, 140, 160; Proverbs 30:5–6; Matthew 5:18; Matthew 24:35; John 10:3; 1 Peter 1:23–25.) 

The King James Version (the Traditional English Bible) is the perfect Word of God for the English-speaking people, due to its faithful translation from the trusted, traditional texts. 

• I reject every other modern version due to their translation from inferior, corrupt and suspect texts. 

• I reject the extreme and heretical teachings of Peter S. Ruckman, known as Ruckmanism, held by Ruckmanites, who say things such as: 

  • • The KJV corrects the original Hebrew and Greek Texts. (The Received Greek and Masoretic Hebrew & Aramaic Texts are perfectly preserved and therefore cannot be corrected or improved.)

    • There are multiple gospels over the various dispensations and OT & Tribulation salvation involves faith & works. (There is only one Gospel from Genesis to Revelation and no one will ever be saved by works. All salvation is by faith in Christ's redemptive work, by grace alone, without any works.) 

    • Peter and Paul preached different Gospels; one to the Jews at Pentecost and one to the Gentiles and Church. (This is Mid-Acts & Hyper-dispensationalism heresy. Paul and Peter and Jesus all preached salvation by faith alone in Christ.) 

CREATION

God created everything in Genesis 1:1. Satan rebelled and the world became corrupted, dark and void. God restored creation in six literal 24-hour days. I reject the theory of Evolution or the need for millions of years. (Genesis 1:1–31; Genesis 2:1–3; Exodus 20:11; Exodus 31:17; Nehemiah 9:6; Psalm 33:6, 9; Isaiah 45:18; John 1:1–3; Colossians 1:16–17; Hebrews 11:3.)

• I do hold to a Genesis 1:2 Ruin & Restoration "Gap Event" Position. (Genesis 1:1–2; Isaiah 14:12–15; Ezekiel 28:12–17; Isaiah 45:18; Jeremiah 4:23–26.)

THE GODHEAD (TRINITY)

I affirm the eternal existence of the Trinity. God exists in the Godhead (Trinity) in three separate yet unified persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.Matthew 3:16–17; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3, 14; John 10:30; John 14:16–17, 26; John 15:26; Acts 5:3–4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 2:9; 1 John 5:7.

MAN & SIN

Man was created in God's image with an eternal soul. Adam sinned and the curse of sin passed upon all mankind, meaning mankind naturally begins sinning and dies spiritually, thus needing eternal redemption and forgiveness.
(Genesis 1:26–27; Genesis 2:7; Genesis 3:1–24; Ecclesiastes 12:7; Matthew 10:28; Romans 3:10–12, 23; Romans 5:12–19; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:21–22; Ephesians 2:1–3; Hebrews 9:27).

SALVATION & THE BLOOD ATONEMENT

Salvation is only possible by grace alone through faith alone in the finished work of Christ (His life, death, burial and resurrection) and His blood atonement. Jesus died for all humanity and anyone who places their faith in Christ alone will be saved. I reject both Arminism and Calvinism. (Isaiah 53:4–6; John 1:29; John 3:16–18; John 5:24; John 10:28–29; John 19:30; Acts 4:12; Acts 16:30–31; Romans 3:23–26; Romans 4:5; Romans 5:1, 8–9; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9–13; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:7, 13–14; Ephesians 2:8–9; Colossians 1:14; 1 Timothy 2:4–6; Titus 3:5–7; Hebrews 9:12, 22; 1 Peter 1:18–19; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 2:2; Revelation 1:5.) 

SATAN

Satan is a real person, once holy, now fallen and the enemy of God and His people. He will be cast into the Lake of Fire at the end of time. He accuses and wars against the saints. (Job 1:6–12; Isaiah 14:12–15; Ezekiel 28:12–17; Matthew 4:1–11; Luke 10:18; John 8:44; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6:11–12; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:7–10; Revelation 20:10.)

ANGELS

Holy angels serve God and minister to the saints, while fallen angels do Satan's bidding and work in rebellion to God and seek to further Satan's kingdom on earth. (Psalm 103:20–21; Daniel 10:10–14; Matthew 18:10; Matthew 25:41; Hebrews 1:13–14; Hebrews 13:2; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Revelation 12:7–9.)

DEMONS & DEVILS 

Demons or devils are most likely evil spirits from the Nephilim or giants who seek to torment, inhabit bodies, oppress the saints and oppose Christ's kingdom. (Matthew 8:28–32; Matthew 12:43–45; Mark 5:1–13; Luke 8:26–33; Luke 9:38–42; Acts 16:16–18; Ephesians 6:12; 1 Timothy 4:1; James 2:19.)

• The origin of these demons is found in: Genesis 6:1–4; Numbers 13:33. 

THE CHURCH

The New Testament Church is the bride of Christ, distinct from ethnic Israel and has the duty to edify the saints and reach the lost world with the Gospel. (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:41–47; Romans 11:1–29; 1 Corinthians 10:32; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 1:22–23; Ephesians 4:11–16; Ephesians 5:25–32; Revelation 19:7–9; Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15.) 

• Churches operate independently as local bodies led by qualified male pastors (elders) and do not operate under hierarchies, synods or conventions. Deacons serve the congregation's practical needs and assist the pastor to fulfill his duties. (Acts 6:1–7; Acts 14:23; Acts 20:17, 28; Philippians 1:1; 1 Timothy 3:1–13; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter 5:1–3; Matthew 18:15–20; Acts 6:1–6; Acts 13:1–4; Acts 15:22; 1 Corinthians 5:4–5, 12–13.)

BAPTIST & THE LORD'S SUPPER

The Church has two symbolic ordinances: Believer's Baptism (for saved converts only, by immersion) and the Lord's Supper (with non-alcoholic grape juice and done to commemorate Christ's body and blood). Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:12; Acts 8:36–39; Acts 10:47–48; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–29; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26.)

• I reject and denounce the Roman Catholic Church's heretical teaching known as Transubstantiation, which erroneously teaches that Jesus' body and blood appear in our mouths during Communion. 

• I reject the Reformed mystical teaching that Jesus' blood and body mystically are present during Communion. 

GIVING 

Churches are supported by the free-will offerings of their members. (Acts 4:34–35; 1 Corinthians 9:7–14; 1 Corinthians 16:1–2; 2 Corinthians 8:1–12; 2 Corinthians 9:6–7; Philippians 4:15–18; 1 Timothy 5:17–18.)

SPIRITUAL GIFTS & CESSATIONISM 

Christians have and should use spiritual gifts (in accordance with Scripture). The sign gifts of healing, tongues, etc. have ceased with the death of the Apostles and the completion of the New Testament Scriptures. (Romans 12:3–8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Ephesians 4:7–16; 1 Peter 4:10–11.)

• The Apostolic Sign Gifts ceased upon the completion of Scripture's canon and the death of the Apostles. (Mark 16:17–20; Acts 2:43; Acts 5:12; Acts 14:3; Acts 19:11–12; Romans 15:18–19; 1 Corinthians 13:8–10; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Hebrews 2:3–4.)

EVANGELISM

Christians are to take the Gospel to every creature, support missions work and distribute Bibles and tracts, as well as use social media to evangelize the lost. (Psalm 68:11; Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46–48; Acts 1:8; Acts 8:4; Romans 10:13–17; 1 Corinthians 9:22–23; Philippians 1:5; Philippians 4:15–18; 2 Timothy 4:2.)

WORSHIP MUSIC

Worship music must glorify God in its lyrics, music and style. It should be doctrinally correct, rich and exalting of Christ. It should not imitate sensual or profane genres. (Psalm 40:3; Psalm 96:1–2; Romans 12:1–2; 1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Corinthians 14:15; Ephesians 5:18–20; Philippians 4:8; Colossians 3:16–17; 1 John 2:15–17.)

• In application to the above Scriptures, I must denounce and oppose Bethel, Hillsong, Elevation, almost all CCM and any music or ministry that violates Scriptural principles. 

ISRAEL & PROPHECY

National, ethnic Israel remains God's chosen people of His eternal covenant and shall one day be turned back to Him and saved, especially after the Great Tribulation. (Genesis 12:1–3; Genesis 17:7–8; Jeremiah 30:3–11; Jeremiah 31:31–37; Ezekiel 36:22–28; Ezekiel 37:21–28; Zechariah 12:10; Matthew 24:29–31; Romans 9:3–5; Romans 11:1–2, 11–12, 25–29.

• In response to the above Scriptures, I must  reject and oppose Replacement Theology.

THE RAPTURE & CHRIST'S SECOND COMING

I believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture and the Premillennial return of Christ as two separate events.

• The Pre-Tribulation Rapture (John 14:1–3; 1 Corinthians 15:51–53; Philippians 3:20–21; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10.)

• The Pre-millennial Second Coming (Zechariah 14:1–5; Matthew 24:29–30; Acts 1:9–11; Revelation 19:11–21; Revelation 20:1–6.)

THE JUDGMENTS & ETERNAL DESTINY OF MANKIND

• The Judgment Seat of Christ: Believers will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ to have their lives evaluated for spiritual rewards. They will enter the Millennial Kingdom and reign with Christ. They will spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus and God the Father in the New Jerusalem, which will come down and rest upon the new earth God will make after the final judgments. (Romans 14:10–12; 1 Corinthians 3:11–15; 1 Corinthians 4:5; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 5:10; Revelation 20:4–6; John 14:1–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; Revelation 21:1–4, 22–23; Revelation 22:3–5.)

• Great White Throne: Unbelievers will one day stand at the Great White Throne Judgment, where they will be judged for their sins and for rejecting Christ. They will be cast into the Lake of Fire forever. (John 3:18, 36; John 5:28–29; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:8.)

THE CHRISTIAN HOME

Men are responsible for leading their homes, wives and children according to the Scriptures. The family is the first institution of humanity and husbands are to love their wives, wives are to submit to their husbands and children are to obey and honor their parents, according to the Scriptures. (Genesis 2:18–24; Exodus 20:12; Joshua 24:15; Ephesians 5:22–33; Ephesians 6:1–4; Colossians 3:18–21; 1 Timothy 3:4–5; 1 Peter 3:1–7.)

MARRIAGE & SEXUALITY

Marriage is between one man and one woman. Anything else is an abomination. (Genesis 2:18–24; Matthew 19:4–6; Mark 10:6–9; Romans 1:24–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11; 1 Corinthians 7:2; Hebrews 13:4.)

DIVORCE & REMARRIAGE

God hates when divorces happen, but acknowledges the reality of fallen mankind and sinful hearts. He does not hate divorced people or blame or disqualify an innocent party. (Malachi 2:14–16; Matthew 19:3–9; Mark 10:2–9.) 

God permits divorce and subsequent remarriage for two reasons: 

• For sexual immorality as grounds: Matthew 5:32; Matthew 19:9.

• For abandonment (which includes abuse) by an unbelieving spouse: 1 Corinthians 7:12–15.

SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE

Human life begins at conception. Man is created in God's image and therefore any attempt to kill innocent life (abortion) or alter one's gender (transgenderism) is an abomination and insult to God Himself. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 9:6; Exodus 20:13; Psalm 106:37–38; Psalm 127:3; Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:41–44; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20; Matthew 19:4.)

SELF-DEFENSE

Humans have the right to defend and protect life, even if that means taking evil life to do so. We are permitted by God to be armed and use deadly force when needed. (Genesis 9:5–6; Exodus 22:2–3; Nehemiah 4:14, 16–18; Esther 8:11; Luke 22:36–38; Romans 13:3–4.)

GOVERNMENT

Christians should pray for the government and live peaceably and quietly if possible. Christians should not disobey the government unless they command us to violate Biblical principles or commands. (Daniel 3:16–18; Daniel 6:7–10; Matthew 22:21; Acts 4:18–20; Acts 5:27–29; Romans 12:18; Romans 13:1–7; 1 Timothy 2:1–4; Titus 3:1–2; 1 Peter 2:13–17.)

ALCOHOL

Alcoholic beverages are to be avoided entirely. (Proverbs 20:1; Proverbs 23:29–35; Proverbs 31:4–5; Isaiah 5:11; Habakkuk 2:15; Romans 13:13–14; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Peter 4:3.)

MEDICATIONS, THERAPY & COUNSELING

Medications, mental therapy, or counseling are helpful things people in need should have access to without being criticized or ostracized. God is our Great Physician and Healer, but even He has given the field of medicine for man's benefit. (Proverbs 11:14; Proverbs 15:22; Proverbs 17:22; Isaiah 38:21; Jeremiah 8:22; Matthew 9:12; Luke 10:34; Colossians 4:14; 1 Timothy 5:23.)

SUICIDE 

Even Christians who tragically lose their battles with depression, anxiety and commit suicide are under the blood of Christ and are immediately ushered into Christ's presence. (John 3:16; John 5:24; John 6:37–40; John 10:27–29; Romans 5:1; Romans 8:1, 35–39; Romans 8:38–39; Ephesians 1:7, 13–14; Ephesians 2:8–9; Ephesians 4:30; Philippians 1:21–23; 2 Corinthians 5:6–8; 2 Timothy 2:13; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 10:10–14; 1 Peter 1:3–5; 1 John 5:11–13.)
